Hello from Bernie and Margaret from what has been a very sunny Colchester, England! We hope you all had as much enjoyment from a long period of real summer as we did. Nothing major, just some lovely days out in the countryside or at the coast, catching up with friends from way back – that sort of thing.

 

Bernie is, as some of you know, a very keen photographer and Rebecca recommended to him a website called ‘Pexels’, where amateur photographers can upload their photographs for others to download and (hopefully!) leave a donation. So far, he’s had thousands of views and loads of commendations…and one single donation! Thank you to the doner; you know who you are. He’s been enjoying doing that.

 

Summer is often the time when regular things take a break, and Invictus England followed the pattern of wider Invictus and had a break from our monthly Zoom meetings through August.  But we did join the excellent teaching on ‘Dangers of the Third Eye and other New Age practices’ in the middle of the month. Then we welcomed Invictus Wales to our first Zoom meeting in September with a great teaching from Will Morse on ‘Bringing what God is saying, turning it into declarations and praying it through,’ followed by the practical outworking. All in all, it was a great evening! We find it very valuable to join like this with other arms of Invictus Prophetic Global.

 

We took a break also from our Tuesday fellowship, which meets in our home and where God does some wonderful things among us, especially in our times of worship. We’re teaching, encouraging, and helping our little group of mainly older folk from our village to experience something of the presence and power of God that most have never known. They’re growing, and they love it! We decided to pause these meetings too during August and missed them a lot. This is new territory for us, and it’s exciting. Who knows what’s coming up in autumn and beyond?

 

So…what is God saying? ‘Something is happening’ has become a frequent phrase around here, and we’re seeing it on all sorts of levels. We’re thrilled to see every good, positive thing that builds God’s Kingdom. We especially rejoice about young people coming into churches, wanting to know (in the words of one such young man we spoke to) ‘what it’s all about’. But, we see also the rise in the enemy’s activity across the board. We need radical discernment in these times to recognize what is of God and what isn’t. Too many, even in the Body of Christ, are not equipped with a healthy level of Biblical literacy, so they are vulnerable to the clever-sounding twisting of God’s word, sometimes with disastrous results. How can we possibly recognize truth from error if we don’t know the Word of God? The fight is escalating, and we all need to be watchful and prayerful so that we are not deceived. Everybody has an opinion, but only the Word of God is Truth. And only the Word of God can set us free.
