This isn't just how I make things. It's what I believe about people. That the most interesting, most alive, most beautiful things in existence aren't simple. They are accumulated. They are earned. They are rich precisely because of everything they've absorbed.

I grew up in the Middle East. I worked in parliament. I spent time in humanitarian aid. And somewhere inside all of that - the grandeur, the heartbreak, the bureaucracy, the raw human need - I have sat in rooms where people were deciding things that affected millions of lives.

​

I have worked alongside people with almost nothing who still found ways to offer beauty to one another. I have lived in cultures where colour, texture, and ornament are woven into the fabric of daily life - not as luxury, but as a way of saying, “We are still here, and life is still worth celebrating.”

​

I became deeply certain of one thing: people are longing for beauty. Not as escapism. Not as distraction. As nourishment. I became an artist because I couldn't unsee any of that. Beauty is not decoration. It is a response. A quiet, deliberate act of resistance against everything cold, narrow, and life-diminishing in a complicated world. I have seen art bring healing and warmth in people's lives and that is what excites me the most.
