A Prophet's Life: Candy Smith
My name is Candy Smith. I live in Wales, UK and have been married to my husband, Ian, for 37 years. We have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
I became a Christian thirty years ago, My then four-year-old daughter insisted on going to Sunday school—much to my annoyance! I’d been brought up Catholic and it wasn’t a positive experience, so I was in no rush to go back to church. After attending the church for three weeks I gave my heart to Jesus and had a profound spiritual experience. Within a few more weeks my mum, eldest daughter and grandmother were saved.
Even as a young Christian I had strong spiritual discernment, which would often feel uncomfortable. The Holy Spirit would also give me words for people, though I had no understanding that they were prophetic words at the time.
The first year of my Christian walk was a pleasure, or as some would say a honeymoon period. Things soon began to change after I heard a teaching on Freemasonry. I had no idea that my forefathers were deeply involved in it. The Holy Spirit also revealed how deeply involved they were in every aspect of the occult.
I spent many years having deliverance ministry along with very long periods of illness, so severe that at times I thought that I wouldn’t make it. It was during a very difficult time that I cried out to Jesus for help. I felt immense darkness fall on me. It was like I had fallen into a deep pit. Jesus told me to praise him, so I started singing praise at the top of my voice with my hands in the air.
It was at that moment I experienced the power of praise, for as suddenly as the darkness came, when I praised Him, it completely lifted.
He then gave me the scriptures:
2 Corinthians 1:4 (KJV)
Who comforteth us in our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God.
Isaiah 42:7
To open the blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
I knew at that moment that God was going to use what I had gone through to help others to get free. After a long period of personal deliverance, I started to minister to others and I’ve had the privilege of seeing many set free, some from very deep bondage.
I see in the spirit and I have a watchman anointing. I also have a heart for praise and worship as I believe it has huge importance. I have been a part of a praise and worship team over many years.
My first experience with the prophetic world was when I was introduced to Invictus Prophetic Global (IPG) through Heather Clayton a number of years ago. Before I joined IPG I had a dream about it, so I knew that it was right when she introduced me.
It was through the teachings that I discovered what I had already been partly operating in over the years. I had prophesies before being introduced to IPG, and learning that I was a Prophet in training. I had no understanding then what this meant.
I feel very privileged to be part of IPG. I have been part of Struck to Struck, breakout rooms and prophetic appointments, and am now part of the Intercessors team. Recently, I have also been invited to join the IPG Core Leaders group.

The Lord has been talking to me for quite some time about New Age in the church. So many are involved in it and it’s so concerning, as we are seeing it in churches that are local to us. New Age practices, such as yoga, can look so harmless on the surface that many churches are now using it as way of reaching their community. All New Age practices are deceptive and dangerous, causing mixture and opening a door to demonic attack.
Darkness and light do not mix. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Clearly state this.
