A Prophet's Life: Claire Bull
Claire Bull is one of the Core Leaders for Invictus Prophetic Global and is also on the Invictus Wales Core team. We asked Claire a few questions and here is her reply.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I work full time in the National Health Service as an ocularist and clinical lead. Basically, I design, paint, make and fit prosthetic eyes. It’s a job that I still love after 31 years, and I feel privileged to be part of the journey of the people I see in clinic.
I am part of the leadership team at my local church, lead a life group, and play keyboard in the worship band.
What has been the highlight(s) of your Christian journey?
Knowing God’s faithfulness and protection even when I tried to run away and do things my way. Throughout that period, I was aware that there were people praying and interceding for me during some very dark times where I made some very dubious decisions, and I definitely know that angels were despatched to protect me. This has clearly demonstrated the importance of obeying and heeding the prompt to pray for someone or a situation when nudged by Holy Spirit.
What is your involvement with IPG?
As well as being a Core Leader, I am an intercessor and watchman and have been part of the intercession team for several years. I have also been involved in a couple of teaching session for Stuck2Struck when time permitted, which I loved.
Where is God leading you?
I am looking at reducing my working hours and retiring over the next couple of years so that I can be more involved in ministry. I know that there is still a call on my life for mission and ministry which is yet to be fulfilled. We’re never too old to serve!
What is God saying to you right now?
I’ve kept hearing “zero tolerance” recently, and also heard Holy Spirit say “I am calling out the whispering in dark corners and exposing what has been hidden.” There is a challenge for us not to shy away from difficult situations but to deal with them properly and righteously rather than manage them. The Lord is refining His body and we are called to be a holy people, so this is a time for seriously addressing anything that He brings to light.
Over the last few weeks in the UK there have been wildfires on several farms. These have been contained and dealt with by farmers bravely heading towards the flames and ploughing the soil to starve the fire of fuel and creating an emergency firebreak. The Lord has been showing me through this that we are in a time where we need courage and unusual strategies to deal with shut down escalating situations. There is dry flammable tinder from where things haven’t been dealt with which the enemy is seeking to ignite. We must be ready to drive towards the fire and plough a firebreak. This means making sure that our hearts are pure and surrendered completely to Jesus, and that we are in unity within the body.
Hosea 10:12 says “Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unploughed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.”
